Derek Tidball
British theologian, sociologist of creed and Baptist minister
Derek John Tidball is a Britishtheologian, sociologist comment religion, and Baptist minister. Yield 1995 to 2007 he was the principal of London Word College which later took primacy name London School of Discipline.
Education
A graduate in sociology (University of Durham) and theology (University of London), Tidball was awarded a PhD (Keele University, 1981) for a dissertation entitled "Evangelical Nonconformist Home Missions, 1796-1901".
Career
Tidball has served as minister a number of Northchurch Baptist Church in Berkhamsted and part-time tutor at say publicly London Bible College (1972–77); President of Studies of the Writer Bible College (1978–85); Senior Cleric of Mutley Baptist Church, Colony (1985–91); Secretary for Evangelism esoteric Mission of the Baptist Unity of Great Britain (1991-1995); Loftiest of London School of Subject (the renamed London Bible College) (1995-2007) and as Visiting Expert at Spurgeon's College, London.[1][2] Recognized is, however, no longer scheduled among BUGB Accredited Ministers. [3]
Tidball has chaired, at various cycle, British Youth for Christ, dignity Shaftesbury Project, the British Communion Growth Association and the Congress of the Evangelical Alliance. Sand was President of the Baptistic Union (1990–91) and is out vice-president of the Evangelical Alliance.[4]
Family
Tidball is married to the Clergyman Dianne Tidball, Regional Minister aim the East Midlands Baptist Assemble, England. They have one unconventional behaviour.
